I think that's the basis for the MAGA movement. They see themselves as the ones who are the "true" Americans. Anyone else outside themselves has gotten whatever they got through some type of liberal favoritism (and they want it back).

Notice how they say big city Dems cheat? That's not really what they mean. What they really mean is those folks aren't true Americans like us so their "votes" shouldn't count. It's basically a refusal for them to have to submit to a majority that they see as undeserving and foreign. Ultimately, it's a refusal to admit the predicament they find themselves in has anything to do with actions (or inactions) of their own doing.
