Plenty of white liberals in Virginia. This state voted for Biden, Hillary, Obama, senators, state legislators, etc. One R governor is more of an outlier from an otherwise blue-leaning purple state.

Of course trying to keep people from voting is an art form the Repugs have got down.

Throw out all college voters who don’t change addresses and then don’t have Tx drivers license that matches, close drive up mail boxes (Harris county went from 5 to 1 thanks to DeJoy…)
Erase voting people from Registered rolls who don’t respond to “address checks” in a timely fashion .
Have only a couple of voting machines at the Dems side of town which creates a VERY long wait, (sometimes 6hours, plus) but Republicans can vote in 10 minutes.
The list goes on and on. And don’t forget you can get arrested for giving people bottled water while in line to vote.

But I was raised better than that. I grew up during Watergate. I didn't know that the word was actually "Republicans" because my grandma always referred to them as "Those damn Republicans!" I'm proud to have voted for only two Republicans in my entire life - Senator John Heinz and whoever ran against William Donald Schaefer for governor of Maryland in 1988, because I thought that Schaefer was a clown.
