feel bad for Ross, he's a class act who helped bring the Cubs out of the wilderness. But...Counsell is one of the best, if not the best in the game...

We were resigned to his leaving, but thought it would be the Mets or maybe Astros that would hook him. His going to the Brewers arch-rivals in the same division, that hurts.

That stupid trade that the team and fans hated cost them one of the best relievers in the game, and it cost them a chance at a World Series in 2022; now it cost them one of the the best managers in baseball, and they lost him to their division rival!!

I mean his whole family.
He lives in Whitefish Bay. That's only about 110 miles from Wrigley.
He could drive home on off days in a couple hours.
With that salary, he can afford a Chicago apartment.
