Katy Tur vs Lawrence O'Donnell

Lawrence is in the courtroom. He was describing the doofus parade of VP candidates showing up to support their idol. Today it was JD Vance and Tuberville. I was enjoying Lawrence's description of Vance on his phone the whole time (isn't that against the rules?) while Tuberville apparently was more attentive. Tur became very animated and said but Vance tweeted that it was understandable why trump was falling asleep, that he is 39 and almost fell asleep! She really sounded as if that was some kind of defense and she was defending both Vance and cheato.

Lawrence kind of skipped a beat as he absorbed this outburst, and then said something along the lines of okay that is how the VP brigade is defending this and went on to ridicule it some more. He wasn't rude, but he made it clear what he thought of that.

I enjoyed it when Tur was on vacation last week I must say.

He was there as the expert on helicopters. He is now a she. I find it very hard to describe someone who is a father but in midlife became a woman.

It's something I have been noticing and posting about since this trial began. You're certainly free to disagree, but I gave reasons for my impression above. And they definitely do not include "jealousy because she's so beautiful" as you suggested when defending her in another thread. What a joke.

Your OP doesn't say much. Just that she pointed out a fact. That's her job. When people come up with reasons for attacking her I won't make up my own explanations. Since posting that earlier it appears some other complaints have come up. I may change my mind.

I'm not so sure that's the explanation now. It looks like they expect to get propaganda instead of news. Its Katy's job as a journalist to cover both sides. They seem to want her to back up everything bad that is said against the Trump side. Hard to tell. There is thread after thread of people accusing her of betrayal without specifically saying what she did. At least you said something, although I don't see why what she said in that case was so terrible. Somebody here said she said there was reasonable doubt in the hush money case but I can't find it. If she said that without including more information I'll change my mind about her. I also saw a tape of her flipping out on Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi said Trump lost jobs and Katy said it was because of Covid. She should have asked instead of stating. I think Pelosi should have come back and said Covid was Trump's fault but she, like the rest of them, didn't push that. Anyway, I hope you can see I'm not so unobjective as you think. I'm also sorry for what I said. I didn't mean to insult you.

As you can probably tell, I have strong feelings about your comments about jealousy of Tur's looks. Even though it wasn't directed at me, I felt that it was insulting to other DUers who should be our allies, and to a lesser extent, Tur herself. Nevertheless, I think I've made that clear and I hope in the future we can find things to agree about!
