Hunter was dealing with drug addiction and failed to pay his taxes. He eventually paid what he owed and yet Garland-apponted special counsel Weiss is taking Hunter to trial to get him thrown in jail.
Trump, on the other hand, deliberately cheats on his taxes and all I hear is Trump may owe back taxes, where is the call for TSF to go to jail? Maybe Garland can appoint a pro-Biden special counsel to investigate Trump?
From Market Watch -
"The tax records cited by the report indicate that Trump twice deducted losses on the Trump International Hotel and Tower, which opened in 2009 on the north bank of the Chicago Rivers main branch, which cuts through the citys downtown.
The report said Trump initially reported losses of $658 million in his 2008 filings under the premise that the property fit the IRS definition of being worthless because condominium sales were disappointing and retail space went unfilled amid a deep U.S. recession.
But in 2010, the published report said, Trump transferred the ownership of the property to a different holding company that he also controlled, using the move to save money on taxes by reporting an additional $168 million in losses over the next decade on the same property."
Sounds to me like those deductions were pulled right out of TSF's fat ass. TSF most likely picked the 658 million dollar loss out of thin air.
Fuck it that everyone allows TSF to get away with shit.

(21,674 posts)his lying on his gun application.
When that trial is over Weiss is taking Hunter to trial on his failure to pay his taxes. Yes, Hunter eventually paid his taxes.
Hunter if convicted can spend years in prison.
TSF should be treated the same way.
Hunter Biden faces six misdemeanor and three felony counts in the tax case for allegedly failing to pay at least $1.4 million in federal income taxes for the years 2016 through 2019.

(21,674 posts)I expect Merrick Garland to appoint a pro-Biden special counsel to investigate bringing charges against TSF, in the spirit of Garland showing that he isn't partisan.
TSF may have cheated over 100 million dollars and Hunter failed to pay slightly over 1 million.
Anyone see the difference how the 2 are treated?

(8,987 posts)The Times and ProPublica calculated that the Chicago worthlessness deduction could have been as high as $651 million, the value of Mr. Trumps stake in the partnership about $94 million he had invested and the $557 million loan balance reported on his tax returns that year.
$168M was actually future losses over the next 10 years, while The Apprentice was raking in: $33.3 million in 2009, $44.6 million in 2010 and $51.3 million in 2011.
These loses allowed him to lower his tax obligation on his TV show income.
